The suicide of this Elder Jehovah's Witness was certainly a tragic event. What happened in Bates City speaks volumes to all of us who have left the organization. Sad to say those not knowing who Jehovah's Witnesses really are can only extract that another person died by way of suicide. atf agents said the explosion at the jehovah's witness' kingdom hall on foggy bottom drive was intentionally set, and that the person who died appears to have committed suicide.
witnesses described large amounts of smoke pouring out of the building, which they said was just recently completed.

The name of the last registrar we are aware of is Wallace Liverance. According to a very reliable source, we were told that Liverance evidently just recently was laid off and reassigned the position of Special Pioneer. The source told us his lifestyle has been dramatically reduced, one step away from living on the street! It appears that Brother liverance was included in the recent layoff of the 440 Bethelites who were reassigned their new positions as Special Pioneers. Dial in tonight, Saturday night, as we will be discussing this on the live and up to date conference call ! We will be talking about the phone call I made to the Watchtower concerning who the new Registrar is and what their plans are for Gilead.If you can believe this.......the Watchtower Public Relations Department did not know the name of the current Registrar of Gilead.

Are Jehovah's Witnesses a Cult?

my personal opinion is that the watchtower society fits into most of these characteristics, with the exception of 1& 14. possibly part of number 10 fits, but not all.
i feel that all of the questions posed should be asked of jw's and all of the further symptoms apply too.

'Paradise Earth' makes absolutely no sense!
by navytownroger inthe jw idea of 'paradise earth' seems to be full of holes.
will babies of baptized jws also be in the new system?
if not, how could the child's parents consider it 'paradise' without their children?

This is a great subject to examine. It is true that no where in the Bible does it use the words "Paradise earth". Even Adam and Eve did not live on Paradise earth. They lived in a garden called Eden. They were also never told that they would live on "Paradise earth" if they obeyed God. They were simply told that if they disobeyed God they would die. Genesis 8:22 says: "While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease." (NASB) Isaiah 65:17 "For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth". (NASB) and the list goes on. Jesus promised eternal life to all who believed on him and that where He is they may be with Him (John 17:24. The Watchtower organization leadership know this is all true but, if they told the real truth, they would lose millions of followers and billions of dollars. They are not willing to give up all they have worked for in place of telling people the Real Truth!

Jehovah's Witnesses act very strange concerning their fellow Witness friends who become mentally distressed. It seems that very little compassion is shown when fellow Witnesses "snap". Dr. Jerry Bergman, former Witness and author of one book entitled "Jehovah's Witnesses and the problem of mental illness" describes in great detail Witness behavior and how they disconnect from the real world.
